PRECISION POWER PRESSES AND FABRICATION FOR QUALITY MANUFACTURING

Pressed metal

When it comes to engineering metal for your metal pressing and assembly projects, precision and quality are non-negotiable. Advanced metal pressing and fabrication using high-performance power presses, custom fabrication services, and a range of finishing technologies including electrophoretic deposition (EPD), powder coatings and wet spray painting ensure a high quality product.

HIGH-PERFORMANCE POWER PRESSES: MECHANICAL AND HYDRAULIC POWER PRESSES

Power presses are the basis of our metal pressings and fabrication business, shaping metal sheets into different forms. They come in two primary types: mechanical and hydraulic, offering the force and accuracy required to shape and form metal components to order.

MECHANICAL POWER PRESSES

Mechanical power presses operate using a motor to drive the press for engineering metal. Their speed and consistency make them ideal for high-volume production runs. They offer:

  • High-speed operation: ideal for mass production
  • Precision: delivering uniformity across large batches
  • Cost-efficiency: lower cost, high-volume production

HYDRAULIC POWER PRESSES

Hydraulic power presses use fluid pressure to generate force. This offers more flexibility and control compared to mechanical presses. These presses are best suited for applications that call for:

  • Variable force: where there are varied materials and thicknesses.
  • High force: for tougher materials
  • Complex operations: for more intricate designs

We use both types of presses in our metal pressing and fabrication work, with the choice of which based on the specific requirements of your project

CUSTOM FABRICATION SERVICES

Two ways we put more into your custom metal fabrication and assembly project include robotic roller hemming and welding. Integrating various components into the final product during the process streamlines production, reducing lead times. We also specialise in custom metal press fabrication.

ROBOTIC ROLLER HEMMING

Robotic roller hemming uses automated robots to fold and seal metal edges, ensuring accuracy and repeatability. Faster than manual hemming it provides consistent strength and appearance.

ROBOTIC WELDING

We use robots to join metal parts. This ensures accurate and consistent welds at a higher speed and reduces the risks associated with welding.

CUTTING-EDGE FINISHING: EP AND POWDER COATING

Finishing is a crucial step in metal fabrication, enhancing durability, aesthetics, and performance. Two advanced finishing technologies are electrophoretic (EP painting) and powder coatings.

ELECTROPHORETIC (EP) COATING

EP coating, or e-coating, involves applying a uniform coating to metal parts using an electrical current. Ideal for automotive parts, household appliances, and industrial equipment – find out more about our EP coating services.

POWDER COATING

Powder coating involves applying a dry powder to metal surfaces, cured to form a durable finish. Quick to apply in a wide range of colours, powder coating is extremely durable, not only highly resistant to chipping it also protects against scratching and fading.
